Apache Lake Marina & Resort

The improvements in the rooms are coming along nicely. There is still a ways to go to even out the amenities. The beds were very comfy, the lighting in the bathroom was not adequate. I left some suggestions at the front desk when we check out for items to be checked. The check in and out process was great, the person helping us could not have been nicer or more helpful. The location could be called spectacular or difficult- depends on your point of view. This is a spectacularly beautiful area. The road in from the dam is under improvement and will make a world of difference when construction is complete. Of course, with better access come more people so visit now to see it in it's most pristine state. Wifi and TV are almost available, and I am sure many will appreciate that when complete. We had outstanding cell service (Verizon) so it was not an issue.

We did a family trip for the weekend at Apache Lake and it was wonderful! We rented a few hotel rooms, including a kitchenette, and enjoyed some meals in together and some meals at the on-site restaurant. The food was tasty and affordable, and the staff were very pleasant. We appreciated Robert helping us with fuel and ice and paddleboard rentals. The scenery is drop dead gorgeous and very much worth the long drive to get there compared to other local lakes. The accommodations were nicer than expected, having been recently updated with new paint, flooring, matte black finishes, and new linens. The kitchenette contained a counter space, mini fridge, microwave, hot plate, trash can, and large kitchen sink. We brought all our own utensils and cookware and used coolers to keep most of the food cold. The showers had very good water pressure and hot water and were very nice. A wonderful stay that I would highly recommend.

We decided to camp for my grandsons birthday. The resort was tricky to get too but was very nice once we got there. Bathrooms and showers were clean, camp site was clean and near the water. Had breakfast at restaurant food was delicious and prices normal. You can rent kayaks etc also. Staff was friendly and helpful. Didn’t stay in a room so can’t comment about rooms. Definitely recommend for a family trip. Beautiful area.

I Love Apache lake for Many reasons. Its my place I like to call my Sanctuary. It has a Great scenic drive. The staff is very friendly and exceptionally helpful. The Lake and surrounding areas are Beautiful. We stayed in a Non-kitchenette room at a reasonable price. The room was very nice and was refurbished nicely. It was so Beautiful out that we enjoyed Brunch out on the patio. Are meals were excellent. I Love Apache Lake and for me, its worth the drive everytime. Thank You David

We love Apache and more often than not our experience at the Hotel + Marina is good. I'm not sure how many times ownerships has changed in recent years but I will say this summer of 2023 was definitely better than our experience the summer before. Pros - Updated rooms. I suggest spending the extra for a kitchenette if you have more than 2 people. Standard rooms are small. Customer Service is much better (with the exception one very rude & unhelpful taller chick ) Price seems high for room quality but location is everything and hotel costs in surrounding areas not near the lake were just as high if not higher. Quiet. Air conditioning worked good Cons- bugs, sometimes we have no issues. Unfortunately, this last time we had probably hundreds of kissing bugs around and in our room. Seemed to just be that room. Not sure why The kitchenette no longer had a stove or full size refrigerator. Bring everything you need cause the store doesn't have a ton to offer. Camping price is high. We will definitely be back and recommend it to anyone.
